Carus Vini is situated in the prestigious area of San Casciano in Val di Pesa. Here, the authentic spirit of Chianti Classico blends with a sustainable approach to winemaking, giving expression to a unique terroir that bridges tradition and innovation.

Preserving Maturity

Quality comes from the plant, not just from the soil.

The estate covers 26 magnificent hectares, a mosaic of land dedicated to excellence.

Our vineyards are situated on hills at an altitude of between 190 and 300 metres above sea level, benefiting from optimal sun exposure that gives the grapes a unique organoleptic complexity.

We believe in the value of longevity: that is why we follow the philosophy of the great French vignerons. Instead of grubbing up entire plots, we painstakingly replace individual, less productive vines. This meticulous work allows us to maintain the balance of mature vineyards, capable of producing fruit of unrivalled depth.

The Region and the Climate

Our soils are characterised by a moderately clayey texture rich in coarse particles, perfect for draining rainwater and encouraging the roots to grow deep. The continental climate of San Casciano, with its marked temperature variations between harsh winters and vibrant summers, is the secret behind the freshness and elegance you will find in every one of our wines.

Clean Energy

Thanks to our solar panel system, we generate all the energy we need to regulate the temperature in the cellar.

Natural Architecture

Ventilated walls and roofs protect the wine from sudden temperature changes, allowing it to mature slowly and safely, whilst reducing energy consumption.

Ethical Packaging

We use lightweight bottles to reduce our carbon footprint during transport, whilst ensuring safety by using high-quality recycled cardboard packaging.

Don Luigi

The sunny spirit of Tuscany. A 100% Vermentino that impresses with its pronounced minerality and freshness, with aromas of citrus and white flowers and a pleasantly savoury finish.

UWW Baldero

The underwater evolution of Chianti Classico. A unique wine, cradled by the sea currents to achieve a velvety elegance and an aromatic complexity that defies tradition.

Baldero

A fresh and vibrant 100% Sangiovese. The nose is dominated by notes of cherry and iris, with a savoury structure and velvety tannins typical of the San Casciano region.

Gaudio

The finest expression of 100% Sangiovese. A complex and deep Riserva, aged for 18 months in oak, offering a bouquet of ripe fruit, spices and silky tannins.

Terzona

A 100% Merlot characterised by extraordinary smoothness. On the nose, it offers notes of plum, morello cherry and sweet spices, with an enveloping palate and velvety tannins.

Agapitòs

A velvety, smooth, single-varietal Merlot. Characterised by extraordinary smoothness and intense notes of plum and sweet spices, it fully expresses the richness of the San Casciano terroir.

Robèo

The Tuscan expression of Cabernet Sauvignon. A full-bodied red, aged in oak, with hints of dark berries, balsamic notes and a dense, elegant tannic structure.

Téspero

A pure Syrah, powerful yet elegant. Aged in barriques, it releases intense notes of wild berries and spices, with velvety tannins.
