UWW BALDERO CHIANTI CLASSICO DOCG 2019

Carus embraces innovation together with Jamin UnderWaterWines, the first Italian company pioneering underwater wine aging, to introduce UWW BALDERO CHIANTI CLASSICO DOCG 2019, the first Chianti Classico aged underwater in the sea.

Firstly, at the end of 2023, the project involved 40 bottles of Baldero Chianti Classico DOCG 2019, immersed off the coast of Portofino, which confirmed the validity of this unique and highly sustainable process, capable of characterizing its aging. The process gives the wine a complexity and elegance towards tertiary hints typical of long maturation which converge in a harmonious tasting complexity.

In autumn 2024, we’ll immerse a batch of approximately 500 bottles for 12 months. The wine will therefore be available in autumn 2025. For further information or pre-orders, write to shop@carusvini.it.
